Brenda Wilson Scholarship Program
In 2004, to commemorate his mother, Steve created The Brenda Wilson Scholarship Program. Her dedication to his education and her dream for Steve to attend college serves as his inspiration to help underprivileged students overcome financial hurdles so that they may fulfill their dreams. Read more

The Steve Francis Summer Fiesta is an event packed weekend held in Houston, Texas to raise funds for the Brenda Wilson Scholarship Program. Read more
Holiday Extravaganza
The Holiday Extravaganza is a Christmas party for local youth. The goal of this event is to provide youth with a day of fun, food, games, and toys. Read more
Turkey & Trimmings
In 2005, The Steve Francis Foundation began distributing Thanksgiving meals, including side-dishes and pumpkin pies, to families who otherwise would not have the joy of preparing their own delicious holiday feast. Read more
Calvin Avant Award
Each year during the Summer Fiesta, The Steve Francis Foundation presents The Calvin Avant Award to a staff member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. Read more
DC Warriors
The DC Warriors is an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Basketball Club from Steve’s childhood neighborhood Takoma Park coached by his lifelong mentor, Anthony Langley. Read more
