Kendrick has returned to Houston and is preparing to take the GRE. He is currently looking for the right graduate program in the Houston area, so he can be closer to his family. He has set his sights on obtaining a master’s degree in Exercise Science, Business Administration, or Strength and Conditioning and hopes to also find a graduate assistant position in one of these areas.
While at Sterling College, Kendrick enjoyed playing basketball on campus and volunteering with the Cross Fire Youth Ministry Group. He was also active with the English Blend, a student organization on campus that encourages creative writing and other artistic endeavors, such as visual arts and photography.
Kendrick was the captain of his Varsity basketball team, ran track and cross county, and was in the Magnet program for Aviation at Sterling High School in Houston. He volunteered at Morefield Boys and Girls Club, where he was a member for over 10 years. In addition to his mother and four siblings, Kendrick also credits his grandfather with playing a significant role in his life. His grandfather impressed upon him the importance of patience and taught him that if he believed in himself he would achieve great success.
