The Steve Francis Foundation’s Scholarship Application deadline is approaching! It is required that all candidates applying for the $10,000 scholarship must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In order to help students gain a better understanding of how to best obtain the maximum amount of grants (free money) and other types of financial aid, we hosted a Financial Aid Workshop on February 19th from 6:00PM to 7:15PM at the University of St. Thomas.

The Theodore Roosevelt Basketball Team gained a valuable Assistant Coach this year, and he has helped lead them to an undefeated season. Coach Anthony Langley is a long time mentor to Steve Francis and coach of the DC Warriors, a Steve Francis Foundation supported AAU Basketball program. The 18-0 Rough Riders basketball team is currently ranked #3 in the Washington Post’s Top 20 High School Boys Basketball Rankings in the Maryland, DC, and Virginia region and 104th in the nation.

The Steve Francis Foundation is excited to release its 2013 Applications for The Brenda Wilson Scholarship. Since creation of The Program in 2004, $440,000 has been awarded to 44 Houston high school graduates. These students have attended and graduated from elite universities such as Stanford University, the University of Texas, Texas A&M, the University of Miami, Southern University, and Amherst College.
