The Holiday Extravaganza is a Christmas celebration for local youth. The goal of this event is to provide youth with a day of fun and cheer during the holiday season. The Foundation has hosted this event every year since 2000; originally in Houston and additionally in Orlando, New York, and Washington, DC.

For the past three years, the event has been held at Lucky Strike Bowling Lanes in Downtown Houston. With over 300 youth from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston, Trinity Gardens Church of Christ, Fifth Ward’s Shepherd’s Tabernacle Church, and Evangelistic Restoration Church enjoying bowling, arts & crafts, food and special holiday gifts delivered by Steve & Shelby Francis with Santa, this event brings holiday cheer to all involved. To help celebrate, Steve’s special friends (Yao Ming, Dikembe Mutombo, Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Kelvin Cato, Cuttino Mobley, Moochie Norris) have joined him over the years, sporting their custom SF Santa Hats, to help share in the true meaning of Christmas Spirit.
