SFF Scholarship Celebration
Thursday, 31 May 2012 12:27

The annual Celebration for the Steve Francis Foundation Scholarship Program named in honor of Steve’s mother Brenda Wilson will take place June 20th at the Embassy Suites Houston-Downtown with a new twist and luau theme. We will recognize the previous Scholars and announce the new Recipients.

The Scholarship Program was created in 2004 in memory of Brenda, Steve’s late mother. Losing her at a young age was difficult, but he was able to overcome the challenge with love and support of friends and family. There is a rigorous application process with interviews and essays for the scholarships, in order to find the students who best exemplify the Program’s ideal qualities and Brenda’s spirit. The Francis Foundation has awarded $410,000 in scholarships to Houston high school graduates.

The Celebration will allow graduates to showcase their hard work and success. The recipients are very grateful to Steve and the Foundation for the opportunity they would not have had without his assistance, as now they are able to achieve at their highest capabilities.
