(Houston, Texas – April 10, 2012) – Steve Francis has contributed so much to the city of Houston both on the court as a player and off the court with the Steve Francis Foundation.
He burst onto the scene in his first season earning co-Rookie of the Year honors. He followed up his rookie season with his most productive season in 2000-01, averaging 19.9 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game, and 6.5 assists per game. Francis spent his first five seasons with the Rockets, and his electric style of play made him a fan favorite, and his work ethic and desire made him a leader amongst his teammates as well.
On April 26, 2012, the Rockets final home game of the regular season, the organization will pay tribute to the players selected. |





As a player, the Houston Rockets drafted Steve Francis with the second overall pick of the first round in the 1999 NBA draft.
