Steve believes that the game of basketball provided him discipline, focus, and a sense of direction and believes that he can use basketball as a vehicle to transfer this knowledge to youth. Francis organizes youth basketball clinics year round in Houston, the DC area, and other select locations that focus on fundamentals first.

The youth are instructed by some of basketball’s best talent, including Steve himself and his special guests. Personal interaction with the kids, as well as witnessing individual skill development is the most rewarding part for the coaches. At the end of the clinics, participants are awarded a Certificate of Achievement signed by Steve and a custom T-Shirt to remember the day.
