Steve Francis Foundation Scholarship Celebration is a Success.
 The annual Steve Francis Foundation Scholarship Celebration, a program named in honor of Steve’s mother Brenda Wilson, took place on June 20th at the Embassy Suites Downtown Houston. At the Hawaiian Luau themed celebration, which began with a poolside reception, we introduced three new recipients and congratulated two recent graduates who earned their college degrees.

 On Sunday, June 3rd, Steve Francis finally had the opportunity to officially open the renovated Piney Branch Park in his hometown of Takoma Park, a moment he has been dreaming about for almost 25 years since he first moved to Maple Avenue.

(Houston, Texas – May 23, 2012) – The Steve Francis Foundation is excited to announce that The Brenda Wilson Scholarship Program, created in 2004 in honor of former NBA All-Star Steve Francis’ mother, is now accepting 2012 Scholarship Applications.

Tashara Parker will graduate with her Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism at Depaul University this June. A 2005 Scholarship Recipient, Tashara graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with undergraduate degree in Communications and Sports Management and moved to Chicago in pursuit of her dreams.
