Holiday Extravaganza
The Holiday Extravaganza is a Christmas party for local youth. The goal of this event is to provide youth with a day of fun, food, games, and toys. The Foundation has hosted this event every year since 2000; originally in Houston and additionally in Orlando, New York, and Washington, DC.
For the past 2 years, this event has been held at Dave & Buster’s, where the youth celebrated the holiday season with bowling and a deluxe buffet.
The Holiday Extravaganza is the highlight of their Christmas Season, as each one is able to meet Santa Claus, receive a customized Steve Francis Santa hat, and a toy of their own. In the past, with the help of his teammates Yao Ming, Dikembe Mutombo, Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, and Kelvin Cato, Steve and his friends personally hand out gifts to all the children, sharing the true meaning of the Christmas Spirit.
